Slope

This shop sells vintage furniture, art and homeware. All the tastefully arranged items are either second hand or locally produced. Matt and his partner Sue, who run the shop, support local artists, stocking a selection of ceramics, paintings and greeting cards. They engage with the community, for example by inviting customers and passers by to contribute to an illustration in the shop window.
Small items are wrapped in tissue paper and sold in locally sourced paper carrier bags, and the use of plastic packaging is avoided where possible.
Matt and Sue walk, cycle or use public transport to get to work, only using a car when a large item has to be transported.
