SECTION 1 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
We operate a mailing list, using the Mailchimp platform. When you register your email contact details via our electronic contact form at http://www.transitionleytonstone.org.uk/contact, or by entering your contact details on a paper form provided by us, we collect and save this information, which enables us to send you our e-newsletter, and any important notices or surveys.
SECTION 2 – CONSENT
How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with your personal information to register for e-newsletters, send us an email that requires a response, or participate in a survey where you provide us with your email address, this implies that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
At no time will we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, nor do we ever share our mailing list with any third parties.
How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind at any time, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, or to retain your personal information, by unsubscribing from our e-newsletter or by emailing us with your instructions to do so at email@example.com.
SECTION 3 – DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
SECTION 4 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the service they provide to us.
We recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the way your personal information will be handled by them.
Particular providers that we currently use include Mailchimp, a US based email marketing content provider, and Twitter and Facebook as providers of our social networking and marketing. Mailchimp processes some of our data activities such as the collection (e.g., via sign-up forms) and storage of personal data (e.g., within Transition Leytonstone’s MailChimp account in order to allow us to create and use distribution lists, send marketing email campaigns, and place online advertisements), and the transfer of personal data to certain of MailChimp’s sub-processors (who, as described in their Data Processing Agreement, perform some critical services, such as helping MailChimp prevent abuse and providing support to our customers).
The Website may contain links to sites owned or operated by independent third parties. These links are provided for your convenience and reference only. We do not control such sites and, therefore, we are not responsible for any content posted on these sites. The fact that the Operators offer such links should not be construed in any way as an endorsement, authorization, or sponsorship of that site, its content or the companies or products referenced therein, and the Operators reserve the right to note its lack of affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement on the Website.
SECTION 5 – SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If our website or organisation is acquired or merged with another entity, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to make contact with you.
