Community Local Produce Stall

Posted on July 23, 2011 by James Bull

The stall opened last Saturday with local produce from carrots to kohlrabi, potatoes to plums. In spite of pouring rain for much of the day it attracted a lot of customers and looks set to become a very welcome part of Leytonstone’s landscape. Do come along and see for yourself.
Run by Organiclea in collaboration with Transition Leytonstone, the stall took place for the first time under the shelter of Matalan’s awning, behind St John’s Church.

Every Saturday, 11 am – 3 pm
Between St John’s Church and Matalan, just off the High Road, Leytonstone

If you would like to volunteer on the stall, please let me know. There are two sessions, one from about 10.15 – 1 pm, the second from 12.30 – 3.30 pm. A great opportunity to be part of this new venture (and chat to people!)
