This introductory course in Leytonstone will be delivered over the weekend of October 21st/22nd by our very own Ros Bedlow and Phil Mason.

A natural system, like a woodland, keeps itself going. It doesn’t need weeding, or fertiliser. How does it do that, and can we learn from it? Can we work with nature to create truly sustainable systems?photo 2-2

The principles of permaculture can help you design your garden, your balcony, your lifestyle – even a community group. The idea of Transition Towns is based on Permaculture.

Permaculture can help you to choose when to tread lightly and when to leave your mark.photo 1-2

This course will be led by Phil Mason and Ros Bedlow, and will be held at a private address in Leytonstone. The address will be provided when you have booked.

We are offering this course to you on a ‘gift economy’ basis. Rather like an oak tree ‘offers’ acorns to a squirrel, we are not asking you to pay for it. If you would like to give us something to show gratitude for the course, we do have some needs:

  • Help in the garden
  • A lift to a garden centre
  • Massage or shiatsu

If you would like to offer something else, now or later, that would be fine. All we ask now is that you book, and pledge to attend. We do need to know numbers to prepare for the course.

More information on gift economy is available – just get in touch.

To book or to find out more, please email Ros.
