A natural system, like a woodland, keeps itself going. It doesn’t need weeding, or fertiliser. How does it do that, and can we learn from it? Can we work with nature to create truly sustainable systems?
The principles of Permaculture can help you design your garden, your balcony, your lifestyle – even a community group. The idea of Transition Towns is based on Permaculture.
This course will be led by Phil Mason and Ros Bedlow, and will be held at a private address in Leytonstone. The address will be provided when you have booked.
We are offering this course to you on a ‘gift economy’ basis. Rather like an oak tree ‘offers’ acorns to a squirrel, we are not asking you to pay for it. If you would like to give us something to show gratitude for the course, we do have some personal needs such as:
- Help in the garden
- A lift to a garden centre
An alternative would be for you to offer to volunteer on one of Transition Leytonstone’s projects, for example:
- Our weekly local produce stall
- Our daily Community Fridge and ‘Best Before’ stall
If you would like to offer something else, now or later, that would be fine. All we ask now is that you book, and pledge to attend.
