Over the weekend of Saturday 30th September/Sunday 1st October, the Community Garden will be open on both days to receive donations of apples. Transition Leytonstone is using the Garden as a Donor Station for Hawkes, the makers of the amazing Urban Orchard cider. Apples from gardens all over London go into the brew, and donors will receive a bottle of cider for every 3kg of apples donated. We will weigh your apples and, when Hawkes come to collect them from us, we will receive your cider allocation which you can then pick up from us at the Garden.DIana Korchien_IMG_1946

Please note that the cider allocation is only for those who pick and bring along their own apples. NO PEARS, please!!!

NB: On Sunday 1st October the Garden will be open for apple donations between 9am-12pm.
