Let’s Grow Local!

An event to inspire and facilitate food growing in Leytonstone. Join us in generating ideas for a local food network.

Sunday 24th June, 4 – 7 pm

The Epicentre, 41 West Street, Leytonstone E11 4LJ

Guest speaker: Pam Warhurst, from Incredible Edible Todmorden, the town in Yorkshire where they’re growing food EVERYWHERE! (Recently featured in the Metro)

A quote from Pam:

‘Believe it or not, the movement has reached every continent. Not because we have a huge marketing budget but because there is a simple truth at the heart of what we do. We can all do something positive about our future and we can start with food.’

So – what can we do in Leytonstone?

Come and see what’s already happening here – and tell us the bits we don’t know about! We’ll be creating a local food map together. Bring your ideas, photos. .

Doors open at 4 pm for tea and cake. Talk starts promptly at 4.15, followed by Q&A, information stalls and ideas exchange.
